ABOUT THIS COURSE:
The industry is undergoing a transition to refrigerants with low to no GWP (global warming potential). This is occurring against a backdrop of fluctuating federal and state regulations. During this on-demand class, students will hear from a panel of experts from leading HVAC manufacturers as they discuss the timeline and the regulatory changes we should expect to see.
This on-demand course should take approximatley 95 minutes to complete. This course is free for students enrolled in GPRO Construction Management.
AFTER THIS COURSE, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Explain why the HVAC industry is transitioning to new types of refrigerants
- Describe some of the new refrigerants and their characteristics
- Describe the expected timeline for code changes and the transition to low-GQP refrigerants
- Describe some of the practical aspects of the transition that need to be considered
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:
To receive continuing education credits, students must achieve an 80% on the learning comprehension quiz at the end of the course. The quiz can be taken as many times as needed in order to pass.
- GBCI: 1.0 CE Credits
- AIA CES: 1.0 LU/HSW Hours
- PDH: 1.0 Credits
