What is this course about?

The industry is undergoing a transition to refrigerants with low to no GWP (global warming potential). This is occurring against a backdrop of fluctuating federal and state regulations. During this on-demand class, students will hear from a panel of experts from leading HVAC manufacturers as they discuss the timeline and the regulatory changes we should expect to see.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

• Explain why the HVAC industry is transitioning to new types of refrigerants
• Describe some of the new refrigerants and their characteristics
• Describe the expected timeline for code changes and the transition to low-GQP refrigerants
• Describe some of the practical aspects of the transition that need to be considered

This course qualifies for 1 GBCI credit, 1 AIA LU/HSW Hours, and 1 PDH credit. To receive continuing education credits, students must achieve an 80% on the learning comprehension quiz at the end of the course. The quiz can be taken as many times as needed in order to pass.
