ABOUT THIS COURSE:

In this course, learn about New York’s most extensive electric-efficiency retrofit: One Court Square. This energy upgrade reduced the building's electric consumption by 20% and allowed the building owner to come out ahead financially in less than a year. Not only was the building made more efficient, resilient, and sustainable, but the project qualified for additional energy-efficiency incentives from Con Edison too.

In each lesson, speakers will address financial incentives and resources available for energy upgrades. Designers, developers, building operators and managers will walk away better understanding how to take advantage of new technologies and incentives.

This on-demand class is a GPRO Operations & Maintenance bonus class and should take approximately 60 minutes to complete.

AFTER THIS COURSE, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

- Identify resources and financing options that different government agencies offer to assist with energy upgrade projects.

- Recognize the long-term economic incentives and environmental benefits of making energy upgrades.

- Guide designers, developers, and building operators on how to take advantage of new smart technologies to achieve better energy usage.
