ABOUT THIS COURSE:

Commissioning ensures that systems are designed, installed, and functionally tested to perform as intended. It is a crucial part of the construction process because it confirms that building systems can be operated and maintained for optimum energy efficiency.

In this course, practitioners will learn how project teams are required to participate in this systematic process and how it ensures that actual building performance is achieved.


This on-demand class is a GPRO Construction Management elective should take approximatley 45 minutes to complete.


AFTER THIS COURSE, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

- Define the purpose and expected outcomes of systems commissioning for building performace.

- Describe the contractor’s role(s) in the commissioning process.

- Explain the co-benefits of working with a Commissioning Agent.

- Describe strategies contractors can employ to ensure tests and inspections are carried out successfully.


CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS: 

To receive continuing education credits, students must achieve an 80% on the learning comprehension quiz at the end of the course. The quiz can be taken as many times as needed in order to pass.
